Next to the pokies, Spinanga operates a sportsbook. You reach it through the Betting item in the main menu, where there is a Live Betting tab and a Virtual Sports feed, and Australian visitors see prices in decimal format. Casino-only players will find the move simple, because the same login, balance and cashier sit behind both products.
Before getting to the markets, here is who runs the book. Spinanga is operated by Stellar Ltd, the company AskGamblers lists for the brand, under Gaming Control Anjouan licence ALSI-202411077-FI2.
What you can bet on

Most reviews of this brand gloss over the sports list. Independent sources confirm six sports in Spinanga’s betting section: football (soccer), basketball, tennis, ice hockey, MMA and eSports. A 2026 review adds AFL and NRL with player props, and another review lists virtual horse racing and virtual greyhound racing. The table below sets that coverage against what Australians actually bet on.
| Sport | Coverage at Spinanga | Why Australians bet it |
|---|---|---|
| Horse racing | Virtual horse racing | 37.9% of all Australian betting turnover in 2025. Melbourne Cup alone moves roughly A$214 to A$226 million a year |
| AFL | Available, including player props | 9.72 million fans and the biggest single-sport betting market in the country, above 7% of turnover |
| NRL | Available, including player props | The Grand Final is among the most heavily bet single events here |
| Cricket | Not itemised in our sources | Around 8 million committed fans across the BBL, the Ashes and Tests |
| Football (soccer) | Confirmed | A-League is fifth in national priorities, and soccer has the deepest schedule on the slip |
| Tennis | Confirmed | The Australian Open is a home Grand Slam in January |
| Basketball / NBA | Confirmed | Seventh nationally, and it runs right through the Australian summer |
| Ice hockey | Confirmed | Barely registers here. It is on the slip for the site’s northern audience |
| MMA | Confirmed | Real following, marginal share of national turnover |
| eSports | Confirmed | Same as MMA: real audience, small share of the money |
| Greyhounds | Virtual greyhound racing | Eighth nationally, part of the racing block that dominates Australian wagering |
A book aimed at a global audience will price soccer down to fourth divisions. AFL and NRL markets here go down to player props such as disposals, tries and anytime scorers. Cricket and real race meetings are not itemised in our sources, so anyone who bets them should look in the live Betting menu before depositing.

The Australian betting calendar
Betting volume in Australia follows a seasonal pattern that sportsbooks designed around the northern hemisphere do not really cater for.
- January: the Australian Open in Melbourne, a home Grand Slam over two weeks with matches from late morning until after midnight, so there is always a live market to bet on.
- December to January: the Big Bash runs alongside the tennis, putting short-format cricket in prime time every night for six weeks.
- March to September: the AFL season, with twenty-plus rounds and a finals series ending in the September Grand Final. In VIC, SA and WA it is the backbone of the betting year.
- May to July: State of Origin, three matches and the only fixtures where QLD and NSW punters bet according to postcode.
- September to October: the NRL finals and Grand Final, which run straight into the AFL decider and make late September the busiest fortnight of the football year.
- October to November: the Spring Racing Carnival, capped by the Melbourne Cup on the first Tuesday in November. People who never otherwise bet put money on the Cup, and it turns over roughly A$214 to A$226 million.
- Year-round: international cricket, headlined by the Ashes whenever England tours.
Of these, the Australian Open, AFL and NRL dates fall in sports Spinanga covers. Head-to-head and line markets on the major events are likely, while Australian novelty markets tend to be thin or absent.
Decimal odds, and how to read them
Decimal odds have always been the standard in Australia, and Spinanga displays them by default to Australian visitors, so you have no settings to change and no prices to convert.
Working out a return takes one multiplication: stake times price. Put A$50 on at 2.40 and A$120 comes back, made up of A$70 profit plus your original A$50. Since the price already includes the stake, any odds under 2.00 mean you are risking more than you can win.
Dividing one by the price gives the implied probability, so 2.40 represents a 41.7% chance of the outcome landing, according to the book. Add up the implied probabilities for every runner and you get more than 100%. That surplus is the margin, and it is how the bookmaker profits whatever the result.
British bookmakers would show that 2.40 as 7/5 in fractional odds, and in the American moneyline it becomes +140. Both of those formats quote only the profit and leave your stake out. Decimals are quicker to compare, which is why Australia never took up either alternative.
Live betting and cash out
The site does have Live Betting, along with a Virtual Sports feed for hours when no real games are on. In-play betting works differently from pre-match betting, so it pays to understand the mechanics before you start.
During a match prices change all the time, and fastest in the seconds around a key event. As a result an in-play bet is held briefly while the book checks the price again; if the number has moved, you get a new offer or a rejection. This is standard behaviour for in-play markets. They also lock at predictable moments, such as a penalty or a red card, and reopen when the situation is settled, sometimes at a very different price.
Cash out is another matter, and we cannot say Spinanga has it. Sportsbooks differ enormously here, some only offer it on selected markets, and none of our sources confirm it at this one. Check for the control in a live bet slip before building a strategy that depends on it. Everything works the same way on a phone, since the mobile betting slip is part of the same web interface and there is no native app.
The sports welcome offer is separate from the casino one
A separate sign-up offer applies to the sportsbook, and it is much smaller than the casino package: 100% up to €100, roughly A$160, with a minimum deposit of €20 or about A$32. On the casino side the welcome goes to 100% up to €500, near A$800, plus 200 free spins. When you deposit you pick one of the two, and collecting both is not an option.
People usually get caught out by the wagering. For the casino package it is 35× on deposit plus bonus, the same 35× on free spins winnings and a 30-day limit. None of the sources we could verify publish the turnover requirement for the sports bonus, so read the rollover in the promotion terms in the cashier before you accept it. Sportsbook bonuses also often limit which prices qualify, and an offer that only counts bets above a minimum decimal is a very different proposition from one that counts every bet. Our write-up of the separate sports welcome offer sits next to the casino terms.
Funding a betting balance
One cashier funds both products, with Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Neosurf, Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and bank transfer.
POLi no longer exists. Australia Post closed POLi Payments on 30 September 2023, which makes any review still listing it out of date. PayID and BPAY, the two methods Australians ask about most, were missing from the AU cashier when we looked on 8 September 2026, even though other reviews include them. The minimum deposit is €10, near A$16. For the withdrawal side, including the cap of three requests in the queue, see our notes on funding a betting balance.
Live dealer games between matches
Sharing one balance between the two products has a practical upside. Australian sport has long dead patches, whether it is rain in Perth, the wait between the AFL twilight and night games, or the three weeks separating Origin fixtures. Spinanga’s casino fills those gaps with more than 830 live tables from Evolution and Ezugi, where real dealers are streamed around the clock.
If a bonus is still in play, bear in mind that under the bonus rules live tables count for far less towards wagering than pokies, so wandering over to blackjack halfway through a rollover slows you down. Our write-up of live dealer games between matches covers the studios, the range of tables and how their contribution is counted.
VIP tiers and cashback
The VIP programme has five tiers, and the brand does not publish the formula for moving between them.
From tier three you get 5% cashback, rising to 10% at tier four and up to 15% at the top, and the cashback itself needs only 1× playthrough. Tier four also brings a personal manager. Withdrawal ceilings go up as well, from €500 a day and €7,000 a month at VIP1, per AskGamblers, to higher limits on the upper tiers, and for a betting bankroll that often counts for more than the cashback. The cashback cap is weekly: Mr Gamble lists slots cashback of 15% up to €3,000 a week, about A$4,800. More on each tier is in our notes on Spinanga’s VIP tiers and cashback terms.
Betting on your own club is still a bet
Supporting a team makes you feel well informed, and every September that feeling costs Australians money. Put a deposit limit in place while the finals are still weeks away. Call Gambling Help Online, free, confidential and open 24/7, on 1800 858 858, or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au. If you want to stop altogether, ask Spinanga’s live chat to close your account or apply self-exclusion. BetStop is the national self-exclusion register. NSW residents can also turn to GambleAware NSW. Strictly 18+.
Overall, this is a competent global betting slip with decimal pricing and live betting attached to a casino account, and it is genuinely useful for soccer, tennis, basketball or eSports. AFL and NRL are on the slip with player props. Punters whose year revolves around real racing should check the Betting menu first, since the racing in our sources is virtual. Of the two halves, the casino is the stronger one, and we test it in depth in our coverage of the casino side of Spinanga.
Sports betting FAQ
Can I bet on AFL and NRL at Spinanga?
Yes, including player props such as disposals, tries and anytime scorers. The other confirmed sports are soccer, basketball, tennis, ice hockey, MMA and eSports, plus virtual horse racing and virtual greyhound racing. Cricket and real race meetings are not itemised in our sources, so look in the live Betting menu yourself before you deposit.
Does Spinanga offer live betting?
Yes, and there is a Virtual Sports feed too. In-play bets take a moment to be accepted while the price is rechecked, and markets lock during penalties, red cards and video reviews. Cash out has not been confirmed, so check the bet slip itself for the control.
Which payment methods fund a betting balance?
The same cashier funds the casino and the sportsbook. It takes Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Neosurf, Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and bank transfer. PayID and BPAY were not in the cashier when we checked on 8 September 2026.
What odds format does Spinanga use?
Decimal odds, which are standard in Australia, appear by default. Multiply stake by price for the total return, so A$50 at 2.40 pays back A$120 with your stake included. For implied probability divide one by the price, which turns 2.40 into 41.7%.
Who runs Spinanga's sportsbook?
Stellar Ltd, the company AskGamblers lists for Spinanga. It holds Gaming Control Anjouan licence ALSI-202411077-FI2, and Mr Gamble and AskGamblers also list the Anjouan licence. Mr Gamble still shows an older record under Rabidi N.V. with number 8048/JAZ. That number is out of date, because Antillephone stopped issuing and renewing licences on 1 November 2024.
