Any online casino that handles real money has to know who its customers are. Verifying identity is a licence condition, and the check arrives at a predictable point: your first withdrawal request. Deposits go through in seconds, since money coming in exposes the operator to very little. Once money is heading out, the compliance desk wakes up and holds the payout until your documents are in.
Verification can feel like an obstacle invented on the spot, but the remedy is dull: get verified in your first session, while your balance is nothing and nobody has a reason to stall. This page explains how the Spinanga KYC and AML policy works in practice: what the operator asks for, how long checks take, why payouts get held, and how to prepare in ten minutes. As a review desk we never receive documents, so there is nothing here to send us.
What KYC and AML actually mean
KYC means Know Your Customer: proof that the account holder is a real, identifiable adult who lives where they say and plays with their own money. AML, short for Anti-Money Laundering, is the wider framework those checks sit inside. It grew from international standards written into national law and licence conditions, and it exists to stop gambling accounts turning criminal proceeds into clean bank transfers.
AskGamblers names Stellar Ltd as Spinanga’s operator, and Stellar Ltd holds Gaming Control Anjouan licence ALSI-202411077-FI2.
Four things get checked: identity, age (18 or over, with no exceptions), address and residency, and for larger sums the source of funds. If a payout dispute comes up, you escalate to the licensing body and to a mediation service such as casino.guru, where most public complaints about this brand have landed.
Documents operators ask for
Online casinos ask for much the same set, with varying strictness. AboutSlots found the checks here pedantic and support evasive while a file was open, so read the rejection column closely.
| Document | Accepted formats | Why it is rejected |
|---|---|---|
| Photo ID | Australian passport photo page, or front and back of a state driver licence. A phone photo is fine if all four corners show and the text is legible. | Cropped edges, flash glare across the hologram or name, a blurred document number, a skewed angle, or an expired document. |
| Proof of address | A utility bill (electricity, gas, water) or a bank statement dated within three months, showing your full name and the address on file. | A statement older than three months, an address differing from the account by even a unit number, a PO box, or a bill in someone else’s name. |
| Proof of payment method | A photo of the card with your name and the first and last digits visible, middle digits and CVV covered. For e-wallets and crypto, a screenshot of the wallet page showing the holder. | Full card number or CVV left visible, which gets the upload refused; a wallet screenshot with no name against it; a method you never deposited with. |
| Source of funds | Asked for on larger withdrawals. Payslips, a tax assessment notice, a bank statement showing salary credits, or paperwork for a sale or inheritance. | A vague explanation with nothing behind it, a statement with transactions blacked out, or figures that do not support the deposits. This one stalls accounts longest. |
How long verification takes
Review desks report processing of verified withdrawals at one to three business days. The trouble lies in the gap between the approval stamp and the money arriving.
Players report something else. On casino.guru there are four or more separate threads about it, AskGamblers and AboutSlots carry more reports of the same kind, and they describe waits of seven to fourteen days beyond the point where the withdrawal read “approved”. A complaint on casino.guru can only be opened once fourteen days have gone by. Two structural limits make the wait longer: complaints put the cap on pending withdrawals at three, and the daily payout ceiling on the lowest VIP tier starts at €500 (about A$800).
Our own test covered six weeks, from late July into early September, with A$1,340 deposited and four withdrawals requested. Both USDT withdrawals arrived within a day, and the lone Skrill withdrawal had landed by the second business day. The fourth was held for six days while verification asked for an additional document, although our ID and proof of address had gone in during the first week. Full timings and caps are in our notes on withdrawal processing.
Why the first withdrawal is the trigger
The imbalance is by design. Signing up takes minutes, the cashier accepts deposits from A$16 (the welcome offer needs at least A$32, and no promo code to attach it), and at that stage nobody has looked at your identity. The operator’s real exposure comes when money leaves, because paying out is the point at which it could be liable for paying a minor, someone using another person’s card or an account used to wash funds.
For the player, that timing is the worst possible, since the check lands on the first balance you care about. Most “they keep asking for more documents” complaints trace back to it: the queue was always coming and happened to arrive while winnings sat in it.
Avoiding that is simple. Upload your ID and proof of address in the first session, before any meaningful deposit, and correct the address field in your profile before a bill has to match it. If you play in crypto, attach wallet proof early as well. The steps are in account verification during sign-up.
Common reasons a payout gets held
- Name mismatch. The name on the account must match the bank account, card or wallet exactly. A nickname, a maiden name set against a married one, a dropped middle name or a partner’s card used just once is enough to stop the payout. AML rules also bar third-party payments.
- Withdrawing to a method you never deposited with. Most operators apply a closed-loop rule, sending funds back along the rail they came in on, up to the amount deposited. A classic way into manual review is to deposit with Neosurf, which cannot receive payouts, and then ask for a bank transfer.
- Requesting a payout before bonus wagering is finished. The welcome package requires wagering of 35× deposit plus bonus, with free spins winnings carrying the same 35×, inside 30 days. Ask for a withdrawal mid-wagering and the bonus, along with anything won from it, is typically voided. Third-party aggregators also report a stake cap of around €5 (about A$8) per bet while wagering runs, so confirm it in the cashier’s terms.
- A second account. Each person gets one account. Duplicate registrations, or two members of a household sharing a device and an IP address, are standard grounds for voiding winnings.
How to prepare in ten minutes
- Photograph your documents in even daylight. Lay the passport page or licence flat on a dark surface near a window, switch the flash off, hold the phone parallel to it, and make sure all four corners are in frame with no glare.
- Check the address in your account against the document. Compare it word for word with the bill you intend to upload, unit number and street abbreviation included. If they differ, amend the account and leave the document as it is.
- Prepare the payment proof with the extra digits covered. Photograph the card with your name showing and the middle digits and CVV masked, or screenshot the wallet page that shows the account holder. Crop out everything else.
- Send the whole set in one upload, before your first sizeable win. One package through the cashier’s verification page works better than four separate messages, and with a small balance at stake a follow-up question carries less pressure.
What we do not do with your documents
We have no part in running this casino. There is no player account, cashier or compliance team on our side, and your ID, bills and payment screenshots never come to us. Please do not send them.
Documents go to one place only: the verification page inside your logged-in casino account, over an https connection. Requests to email a passport scan to an address you cannot verify, or to send a card photo through a chat app so a payout moves faster, follow the usual pattern of an account-takeover attempt.
Never send documents to a third party
Upload your ID and payment proofs only through the casino’s own verification page. We do not collect, request or store documents. Once a delayed payout has gone fourteen days without a resolution, casino.guru will take a complaint. Gambling is for over-18s only, and Australians can get free support from Gambling Help Online by dialling 1800 858 858.
Most punters get verification wrong by leaving it late, and at this casino a late start can cost days. Our findings on payout behaviour, licensing and complaints are collected in the main Spinanga review.
Payout times for USDT and Skrill come from our own test account (28 July to 6 September 2026). Windows for methods we did not use are the ranges published by Mr Gamble and AskGamblers, checked against the live cashier on 8 September 2026.
